OpenCloud Security

OpenCloud Security

OpenCloud Security is a computer virus that the Rogue.WinAVPro family is responsible for. As its name suggests, it is a rogue virus that falsely uses scan alerts and security alerts to try and trick you into believing your computer is infected with something else, which will then prompt you to purchase something to fix it. The infection is promoted through hacked websites that are designed to use exploits to place it on your computer without your will.

Once it is present in your system, it will proceed to falsely scan your computer and claim you have a high number of infections on your system. It will then ask you to remove these viruses but first requiring you to make a purchase before you can do so. It is important to note that you will receive the same results no matter what computer you have and how clean it is, so there is no reason to be worried about the messages that appear.

OpenCloud Security will also terminate most programs you try to open. When you start a program, it will be closed and a message will appear as a warning. Just like the scans, you should ignore this message as there is no real infection.

Without a doubt, OpenCloud Security was authored with no other intention than to scare you into wanting to buy a program by scaring you into thinking that your computer is loaded with infections. It should definitely go without saying that you should never purchase OpenCloud Security. If you already have made a purchase, you should call your credit card company and immediately dispute the charges, claiming that OpenCloud Security is a computer virus and a scam.
